Nicaragua Trip
As some of you may know, Dr. Montoya, Paige and Tiffanie are planning to take a dental mission trip to Nicaragua this summer! This is a fantastic opportunity to serve in an area where dental care is much needed and not often received.
Our team will be going with the Interfaith Nicaragua Project, based out of Greeley, CO. We will be the only dental providers on the trip this year.
Part of The Interfaith Nicaragua Project’s mission statement states, “We believe that every person has a right to have basic needs met: food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education, clean water, and opportunities for employment.”
On this trip, there will be several needs being met and projects being finished. Some of the basic projects will be to build a minimum of one home in the town of Somoto, hold health and dental clinics for the people in the communities around Somoto, follow up on water filtration projects and the latrine project in El Higo, build a storage area for Ninos y Ninas del Futuro (a children’s project they started), fit and distribute 350 pair of reading glasses at clinics, meet with and continue to fund scholarship and micro loan recipients, provide four roofs over existing shacks, and distribute clothing, used computers, school and medical supplies.
We’re super excited to be a part of something that is making a difference in so many Nicaraguan’s lives!
In order to attend this trip we are fundraising to cover the costs of our transportation and supplies. Currently, we have two ways to donate. We are accepting monetary donations and are also selling candles. In the future you can look for us to update you on other ways to help as well.
Candle Sales:
16oz, handmade and hand poured jar candles, crafted lovingly by Tiffanie’s friend Jenny of Flame and Flair Candle Company cost $14.00 each. We have six scents to choose from and will be receiving half of the profit for each candle sold to go toward costs for our trip. ($7.00) Testing scents are available at the office so please stop by to look for yourself or take some time at the end of your appointment to enjoy them. Checks can be made payable to Flame & Flair Candle Co. We will place the order with Jenny in March.

$1700 per person is required for trip expenses. Any money that is raised, above the cost of the candles and the trip, will go directly to the Interfaith Nicaragua Project’s cause. Please help us reach our goal! We appreciate you so much!
